Words we use

What does this word mean?

Property has many special words. Here is what each one means, in plain English.

All-in price
The full price of a home. It includes the base rate, every extra charge and GST. On this site, we quote the all-in price.
Area
A part of Hyderabad, such as Kokapet or Gachibowli. In property, people also call it a "corridor" or a "belt".
Base rate
The price for each square foot of a home, before other charges and GST are added.
Crore
One crore is 100 lakh, or ₹1,00,00,000.
Developer
The company that buys the land and builds the project. Some people say "builder".
Exclusive mandate
An agreement where the developer chooses only one team to sell a project. For Terrace 35, that team is House of Investors.
Floor rise
An extra charge for each square foot when a home is on a higher floor.
GST (Goods and Services Tax)
A tax that you pay on the price of a home under construction. Our all-in prices include it.
HMDA

HNI (high net-worth individual)
A person or family with a large amount of wealth.
Lakh
One lakh is ₹1,00,000.

NRI (non-resident Indian)
An Indian who lives outside India, for example in Dubai, the US or Singapore.
RERA
The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016. Most new projects must register with the state RERA authority. In Telangana, this is TG-RERA. You can check a registration number on the TG-RERA website.
Registration
When a sale is recorded with the state government. Registration data shows the price that buyers really paid.
Reserve price
The lowest price at which a seller will sell at an auction.
Resale
When you sell a home that someone already owns, not a new home from the developer.
Sq ft (square feet)
How we measure the size of a home or a piece of land.
TGIIC
The Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation. It is a state body that sells government land, often by auction.
Title
The legal proof of who owns a piece of land or a home. A clean title has no dispute.
Unsold homes
Homes that developers have built or launched but not yet sold. Many unsold homes in an area can slow down price growth.
