What we collect

When you contact us

If you submit the enquiry form, message us on WhatsApp, call, or email, we collect what you give us: your name, email address, phone number, the goal you select, and anything you write in the message field. We also record which page you submitted from and the page that referred you.

When you use the Wealth Snapshot

The Snapshot asks about your financial position and goals so it can produce a result. We collect the answers you enter.

Automatically, when you browse

We use Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel, both loaded through Google Tag Manager. These place cookies and similar identifiers on your device and collect your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed, time on page, and how you arrived at the site. They also record when you click a WhatsApp, phone or email link, and when you submit the form.

We do not receive your name or contact details from these tools. They report on behaviour, not identity.

The basis we rely on

For enquiries and advice, we process your data because you asked us to, and because it is necessary to provide what you requested. For analytics and advertising, we rely on your consent, which you give by continuing to use the site and which you can withdraw at any time using the methods in the section on cookies below. For records we are required to keep, we rely on our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We never have.

We share it only in these situations:

  • Developers and their teams, where you have asked us to progress a specific property, and only the details needed for that transaction.
  • Professional advisors such as lawyers, chartered accountants and documentation specialists, where an engagement requires it.
  • Service providers who operate parts of our infrastructure: our hosting provider, our email provider, Google, and Meta. They act on our instructions.
  • Authorities, where the law requires disclosure.

Google and Meta process data on servers outside India. By using the site with analytics and advertising active, you consent to that transfer.

Cookies and how to turn them off

Cookies on this site fall into two groups. Ones that make the site function, and ones that measure and advertise. Only the second group is optional, and it is the group Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel belong to.

You can refuse or delete them by changing your browser settings, by using your browser's private mode, or by installing a tracker blocker. Google also publishes an opt-out add-on for Analytics. Blocking these cookies does not affect your ability to read the site or contact us.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become engagements: three years from your last contact with us.
  • Client records: eight years after the engagement ends, which is what tax and financial record-keeping requires.
  • Analytics data: as per the retention period set in Google Analytics, currently fourteen months.
  • Marketing lists: until you ask to come off them.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries submitted through the form are written to a file stored outside the public web directory, which is not reachable from a browser. Access to enquiry and client records is limited to the people at House of Investors who need it.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the Act requires.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data of yours we hold and who we have shared it with;
  • correct anything inaccurate, or complete anything incomplete;
  • erase data we no longer need for the purpose you gave it for;
  • stop using your data where you had given consent, by withdrawing that consent;
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated.

To exercise any of these, email admin@hoinvestors.com. We will respond within thirty days. There is no charge.

Grievance Officer

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, raise it with our Grievance Officer at admin@hoinvestors.com, with "Grievance" in the subject line. If we do not resolve it to your satisfaction, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This site is meant for adults making financial decisions. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under eighteen. If you believe a child has given us data, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be communicated to anyone we hold contact details for.
